ELIZABETHTOWN Getting a case of cabin fever? The town of Elizabethtown has an answer for its residents. The town will sponsor its annual cabin fever day on Sunday, Feb. 18 from noon-4 p.m. The day will include a variety of outdoor activities. Its an attempt to get people to utilize our outdoor facilities, said Elizabethtown Supervisor Noel Merrihew. Most of the events will take place at the Cobble Hill Golf Course. The club house will be open as a warming station, and free hot dogs and hot drinks will be provided. At the golf course, people can enjoy cross country skiing, sledding and snowshoeing. There will be several sets of snowshoes and skis available for people who wish to try the sport. Bernard and Linda Duso will be on hand to offer free sleigh rides. The town will also have free skating available at its Noble Terrace Rink, with several sets of skates available. During next week, the skating rink will operate special hours, due to the schools winter holiday. Hours are noon-3 p.m. open skating, 3-4 p.m. young hockey, 4:30-6 p.m. teen hockey and 6-8 p.m. for open hockey.
