Health network discounts increase

WARRENSBURG Hudson Headwaters Health Network (HHHN) has just made it easier to get good health care in the North Country. Patients who are eligible for a discount when receiving health care at any of the networks health centers will now receive a larger discount. Hudson Headwaters announced that it will raise the discounts received by patients who participate in the networks Sliding Fee Program. The purpose of our Sliding Fee Program is to make health care more affordable for low-income individuals and families who seek care at our health centers, said Linda Harrington, sliding fee program coordinator. Eligibility is based on a patients household size and income. She said that a family of six with a household income of up to $53,600 would be eligible for a sliding fee discount. Here are the new discounts for eligible HHHN patients: Current 20 percent\New 55 percent Current 40 percent\New 65 percent Current 60 percent\New 75 percent Current 80 percentNew 85 percent The minimum charge has also been reduced from $12 to $10 per visit. The new discounts apply to primary, specialty, and urgent care. There is no change to the sliding fee discounts offered for prescription drugs or dental care. Prescription drug discounts are available only at Hudson Headwaters pharmacy partners, Price Chopper/House Calls pharmacies and Adirondack Apothecarys Schroon Lake and Moriah pharmacies. Hudson Headwaters health facilities are located in Bolton Landing, Chestertown, Glens Falls, Indian Lake, Moreau, Moriah, North Creek, Queensbury, Schroon Lake, Ticonderoga and Warrensburg.
