Great fundraising escapes

QUEENSBURY Local non-profits looking for additional sources of funding may begin registering for a fundraising opportunity called Spring Spin: One Good Turn to Benefit Another. This is the third year the Spring Spin fundraiser has been held in conjunction with The Great Escape's season opening. In 2006, more than 125 groups participated, raising over $42,000 for their organizations. Spring Spin: One Good Turn to Benefit Another is a fundraising program designed to help local non-profits raise funds for their organizations while offering ticket purchasers the best value of The Great Escape & Splashwater Kingdom's 2007 season. Non-profit organizations may sell tickets to the public for just $19.99, plus tax, instead of the regular general admission price of $39.99, plus tax. Participating charities keep $5 from each ticket sold. Plus, guests purchasing tickets from participating charity organizations will enjoy unlimited rides, spectacular shows and incredible attractions, with an opportunity to revisit the theme park any day during the 2007 season for just $12, plus tax. Additionally, the three top-selling charity organizations involved with Spring Spin will receive bonus checks for $750, $300 and $150. Participating organizations must sign-up no later than Monday, April 1 but are encouraged to begin selling tickets early with the hopes of raising as much as possible for their organization. Local non-profits can begin registering today for the 2007 campaign at SpringSpin.com or by calling toll free 1-866-388-SPIN (7746).
