PLATTSBURGH The North Country Squares dance clubs latest group of students received their diplomas on graduation night, Feb. 3. Shown here: (left to right) Patt and John Schaeffer, Sandy and Ron Banker, Raymond and Helen Agoney, June Weiskotten, Bill Patnode Jr., Lisa Frennier, Gail McGuire, Roger and Marjory Burke, Patricia Perry and Tom, Cathy and Rachel Cornell. At the far back is caller/teacher Bob LaBounty. Missing from the photo is Barbette Dupree. All the graduates have completed classes which were held twice a week for five months. They have learned at least 68 calls which are known internationally, therefore they can now square dance anywhere in the world. The Squares had about 90 to 100 people attending the ceremony, which included the presentation of the diplomas, initiation, speech from the president, skits and lots of fun for all. The graduates happily and proudly danced for their family and friends. Anyone interested in joining next year's event, can contact Celeste Roy 492-2057 or Dick Crawford 561-7167. New classes will start in September.
