CHAZY? Chazy Central Rural Schools Music Department will present their annual Prism Concert on Monday, Feb. 12, the first day of Spirit Week at the school. Music students in third through 12th grades in elementary, junior high, and senior high choruses, elementary band, concert band and wind ensemble will take part. A variety of musical styles will be represented including classical, jazz, and pop. Like the multitude of colors emanating from a crystal prism, the musical Prism Concert features a kaleidoscope of songs and instrumental compositions performed in immediate succession from a variety of location in the concert hall, said Frank Langr, instrumental music teacher. The concert is non-traditional in that student musicians perform continuously, without breaks or interruptions of applause, until the end. IF?YOU?GO: The concert, held in the school auditorium, begins at 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, contact Frank Langr at 846-7135 or langrf@chazy.org.
