Copper wire stolen from Gore Mountain

NORTH CREEK On Sept. 25, the Warren County Sheriffs Office responded to Gore Mountain Ski Center for a report of over 600 feet of 500MCM tri-plex copper wire missing from the facility. The copper wire, worth over $22,500, was leftover inventory being used on the mountain to power the snow-making equipment. Fabian M. Conlon, age 36, and Jesse A. Bradway, age 38, of North Creek, and Erwin A. Bradway, age 33, of Bakers Mills were charged with grand larceny in the third degree for entering the ski area property through a locked gate on three separate occasions in September. They cut the copper wire into pieces small enough to fit in the back of a pickup truck, and then hauled it to a scrap yard near Albany to turn the copper wire in for cash. The three men were arraigned in Chester Town Court. Erwin Bradway and Jesse Bradway, with no prior criminal record, were released pending a future court appearance. Conlon was remanded to Warren County Correctional Facility for lack of $7,500 cash bail or $15,000 bond.
