INDIAN LAKE Business owners Walt and Nancy Harr will hold the second annual Jalapeno Eating Contest at Martys Chili Nights on Route 28 at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 as one of the activities happening during WinterFest 2007. Contestants will be given whole, pickled jalapenos and must eat as many as they can in a one-minute timed event. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early to view the event. Anyone interested in entering the contest may phone in their registration to the restaurant at 648-5832 or be present at least 15 minutes prior to the event. Their is a limit of 10 contestants so those interested should not wait until the last minute to register.
