Sanders votes for farm bill

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) voted in support of the senate passage Dec. 14 of the farm bill by a vote of 79 to 14. While not perfect, the senate version of farm bill is an important step forward. The bill is a win for dairy farmers who got an enhanced MILC program, Sanders said. It was also a win for nutrition programs, for bioenergy and for conservation, he said.
