Willsboro along with the whole North Country is well covered in snow. Sunday found most people staying inside or using the day to dig out driveways and walk ways, the snow banks are really high in many places, A early Monday morning trip to Plattsburgh displayed great amounts of snow fall over the weekend. So we will enjoy a White Christmas. It is real hard to realize that the year 2007 is fast drawing to a close, I like many ask where did the time go. A couple of families are delighted to have family members from far away home for the holiday. The Jack Wintermute family is delighted to have there son Jake, his wife Hiroko and two children here from Japan for the holiday season. They have several family gatherings planned. The Lobdell family is happy to have Spencer (Boomer) home from his Military training to spend the holiday with family. I am sure that many families are planning family times together. Sorry to hear that Dan Schrieber was taken to the Burlington Hospital this past week and we wish him a full recovery. Lots of Holiday parties this last week and hopefully people use good caution and drive safely. I received the Mountain Lake Newsletter and many Willsboro staff and clients were featured. The most outstanding one for me was featuring Molly Moynan and the great progress she has accomplished. Many on the staff along with volunteers do an out standing job in the care and well being of the clients. The Willsboro United Methodist Women enjoyed their December meeting at the gaily holiday decorated home of Janice Allen. Reminder that all the local Churches have planned special services for Christmas Sunday and Christmas Eve. Hopeful that many will take this opportunity to celebrate what this season is all about, Jesus is the reason. Some of the churches cancelled their services this past Sunday due to bad weather conditions. Birthday Greetings to Jack Wintermute 12/17, Alice Wand 12/22, Rhonda Belzile 12/24, Alberta Curran 12/25
