Pauline Callahan

MORIAH CENTER PauIine Callahan, 89, of Moriah Center, entered unto eternal rest Wednesday evening, Dec. 12, 2007, at the Elizabethtown Community Hospital. Pauline was born in Moriah on July 18, 1918, daughter of Harry and Florence (Mitchell) Sprague. She is survived by three sons, Thomas (Sharon) of Moriah, Edward (Linda) of Mineville and William (Carol) of Corning, N.Y.; eight daughters, Mrs. John Waldron (Peggy), Mrs. Betty Lou Linney of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Mrs. Dolores Lash of Port Henry, Mrs. Frank Owens (Connie) of Greenwich, Mrs. Patricia Brady of Suffern, Mrs. Randy Stoddard (Roberta) of Moriah, Mrs. William Ball (Mary Jean) of Port Henry, Mrs. Raymond Borho, (Mary Jane) of Ticonderoga; 29 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her sister, Pearl Forgette of Plattsburgh. She is predeceased by her husband, Thomas; and daughter, Barbara Jean; a sister, Contance; brothers, Paul and Alva Sprague; and sons-in-law, Bob Linney, Bob Lash and Jack Brady. Pauline is the founder of the Moriah Central School Association Alumni in 1984. She retired from International Paper Co. in Ticonderoga. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, traveling, gardening, crafts and watching her birds. Calling hours were held on Sunday, Dec. 16, at Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A funeral service was held on Monday, Dec. 17, at St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry.
