Lincoln F.D. receives $24,952 in federal funds

The Lincoln Volunteer Fire Company received a $24,952 federal grant for the purchase of personal protective equipment. The funds were awarded by the U.S. Homeland Security Department. Other Vermont fire departments received similar Homeland Security Department funds this year: $475,000 to the Bellows Falls Fire Department to purchase a new ladder truck. Marshfield Fire Department, $30,058 for personal protective equipment. Barre Town Fire Department (Websterville), $19,000 for equipment. Mad River Valley Ambulance Service Inc. (Waitsfield), ,$34,864 for personal protective equipment and EMS equipment. Washington Volunteer Fire Department, $76,000 for personal protective equipment. Rupert Volunteer Fire Department, $13,751 for equipment. Town of Morristown Fire Department, $7,600 for equipment. St. Johnsbury Fire Department $92,577 Equipment. Alburg Vol. Fire Dept. Inc. $261,344, for vehicle acquisition. Essex Rescue (Essex Junction), $69,102 for wellness and fitness programs. Barton Volunteer Fire Department, $166,250 for vehicle acquisition. Concord Fire & Rescue, $237,500 for vehicle acquisition.
