Car/fence accident, James Road, Weybridge. Multiple calls for vehicles off road. Tractor trailer unit stuck on Vermont Route 116, Starksboro, had to be towed. Dec. 4
Two vehicle accident, no injuries, US Route 7, New Haven. The collision was caused by a driver following too closely. Vandalism to a vehicle, Young Road, Orwell. The subject responsible was identified and court action is pending. A search warrant was served at Christopher Lenos residence in Leicester. As a result of that search, stolen property was recovered. Arrested and lodged Christopher Leno, age 25, of Leicester for Burglary, and Possession of Stolen Property from a residential burglary on Nov. 25 in Leicester. Dec. 5
Car/tree accident, Market Road, Bridport. The operator lost control on the slippery road surface due to a combination of speed and having summer tires on her vehicle. Two car accident, U.S. Route 7, New Haven junction. A southbound operator turned left in the face of a northbound vehicle, causing the crash. No one was injured. Dec. 6
One car accident with injuries, Arnold District Road, Leicester. Resident of Ferrisburgh was the victim of identity theft. Name and address were used to open several credit cards which were then used around the state. Victim became aware of this when she started receiving bills from various stores Two car accident with injuries, Hardscrabble Road, Monkton. As a result of the investigation of an accident on Vermont Route 30 in Cornwall, Nicholas Karov, age 24 of Shoreham was cited into court for Driving While Intoxicated. Dec. 7
Resident of Country Road, Lincoln, reported trees cut on his property. Dec. 8
Two car accident, Rotax Road, Monkton. Theft of a purse containing credit cards and a checkbook from a grocery cart at Shaws parking lot, in Ferrisburgh. Domestic disturbance, East Street, New Haven. One car accident with injuries, Plank Road, New Haven. Dec. 9
Resident of Leicester has been receiving harassing telephone calls on her cell phone. Cited Trevor Clark, age 32 or St. Albans City into Court for Driving With a Suspended License on U.S. Route 7 in Salisbury. Additional citations issued during the past week: Cited Johny Bixby, age 22, of Bridport into Court for Unlawful Trespass and Burglary of a residence on Forrest Road in Bridport on July 12. Cited John Gosselin, age 26, of Shoreham for Leaving the Scene of an Accident on Vermont Route #74 in Shoreham on Oct. 26. Cited David Hanson, age 23, of Shoreham for False Report to a Law Enforcement Officer. Hanson reported his truck had been stolen after it had been involved in an accident on Vermont Route 74 in Shoreham on Oct. 26. Note: State Police remind everyone to check the inspection sticker on your car. If the sticker has a red border and the number ten (10) or less, your sticker has expired. If you have a number twelve (12) inspection sticker, your inspection will expire on Dec. 31.
