Chorale appreciates help

To the Editor: I would like to thank all those who came out and filled the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church to overflowing for the annual holiday concert of the Champlain Valley Chorale. Your applause was heartwarming and your generosity was overwhelming. To borrow a phrase from the Barber Shoppers, your contributions will keep America singing or at least this small corner of the North Country. Most of all, I owe a belated thank you to the garden club of Ticonderoga, who supplied the wonderful reception after the concert. The omission of their efforts in my remarks at the concert was a grievous oversight. The food was enough to feed an army and the exhibits were an appropriate addition to the spirit of the concert. The combined efforts of the chorale and garden club create an annual event to warm every heart during this cold winter season. We look forward to seeing you all again in May for our spring concert.
