4-H kids make wreaths for seniors

WARRENSBURG During a recent 4-H wreath making program, youth were asked to take some time and complete a wreath for charity. Ten wreaths were creatively decorated with styles ranging from traditional to eclectic. The wreaths were then donated to the Countryside Adult Home in Warrensburg. All 4-H clubs are encouraged to participate in at least one community service program during the year. This is part of developing youth as educated, engaged citizens who value their community. Service programs may include a wide range of activities from cleaning up a community park to working at civic organization activities. If you would like more information about 4-H or if you are a community group that has a need for a community service, please e-mail John Bowe ( jfb32@cornell.edu ) or Shawn Lynch ( sml257@cornell.edu ) or call 668-4881.
