Johnsburg 39, Bolton 28 JOHNSBURG Adrian Veldman scored 12 points and Ryan Sherwood drained 10 as the Johnsburg Jaguars downed rival Bolton 39-28 to stay undefeated in Mountain and Valley Athletic League play. Crown Point 59, Minerva\Newcomb 33 NEWCOMB The Panthers jumped out to an early six-point lead after the first quarter and cruised the rest of the way for the victory in MVAC cross over action. Indian /Long Lake 61, King School 40 INDIAN LAKE Indian Lake/Long Lake got on top early and shut down King School's leading scorer for the victory. The Lakers' Jeff Reynolds held the Lions' top scorer Justin Taylor to just seven points through three quarters. Reynolds led Indian Lake/Long Lake with 21 points. David Andrews finished with 12. Bolton 53, Johnsburg 40 JOHNSBURG Amanda Plansker and Ashley LaVergne scored 11 points each but Johnsburg lost to Bolton 53-40 in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls basketball on Wednesday. Kathleen Totzke scored 12 and Taylor Barrack and Kate Bliley each had 10 points to lead Bolton. Indian Lake/Long Lake 46, Wells 22 WELLS Cassandra Mitchell drained 23 points to lead Indian Lake-Long Lake to a 46-22 win over Wells on Wednesday. Maggie Evatt contributed six points, six rebounds and three assists for Indian Lake-Long Lake. Indian Lake/Long Lake 58, Bolton 40 LONG LAKE Cassandra Mitchell accounted for 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the Orange. Carli Reynolds added 14 points, while Maggie Evatt chipped in 12 points and nine boards. Kathleen Totzke led Bolton with 17 points, but was held to three points over the final two quarters by Hannah Lamos on defense. Minerva\Newcomb 35, Johnsburg 28 NEWCOMB Deirdre Palmatier scored 10 points, while Whitney McGinn added eight rebounds and Emily Bolan seven steals to lead the Mountaineers. Amanda Plansker paced Johnsburg with 11 points and Jocelyn Graham added 14 rebounds.
