On Sunday, Dec 16, the Bolton Key Club will offer a day of supervised fun and activities for children 4 years old through fifth graders. The Rec center in the town hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parents should pack a lunch, snack and a beverage for each child. Please advise Michelle at 644-2400 ext 114 how many children will be attending. A bowling trip to Lake George Bowl is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 22 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Trips includes shoe rental for two games, a slice of pizza and a soda. Bring extra money if you want to play in the arcade. Cost $9 for shoe rental and two games. These activities require advanced sign-up and parental permission forms. Sign-up sheets and permission forms are located in BCS main office and at the recreation center. Call Michelle Cushing at 928-3176 with any questions. Santa Claus will visit on Friday, Dec. 21 at the fire house at 6 p.m. Winter at Up Yonda
Although Up Yonda Farm will only be open with programs on Saturdays during December, its a great place to learn about the stars and view the lake and Tongue Mountain as it accumulates snow. The tongue of the mountain is directly east of Up Yonda. Each Saturday in December there is a presentation of Starlab at 1 p.m. Learn about the winter sky in the indoor planetarium. You will learn how to identify some of the major constellations and stars, while hearing Native American and Greek stories of how they were created. There is a $3 fee per person. There is an opening on the Recreation Commission for a new member. Anyone interested should contact the town supervisor at 644-2444.
