Upper Hudson Musical Arts presents "Poetry & Song"

NORTH CREEK On Saturday, Dec. 8, at 7:30 p.m. ,Upper Hudson Musical Arts will present a concert by the Saratoga Chamber Players at the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek, New York. The concert is entitled "POETRY & SONG" and at different times in the concert, will consist of a Baritone, Violin, Flute ,Clarinet, Cello, Piano and Guitar. Works to be performed include Tarantella by Camille Saint -Saens for Flute , Clarinet and Piano ,a series of Cole Porter songs , Brahms Piano Trio in B Major and the Premier of a new work by Aaron Grad for Baritone, Violin, Flute, Clarinet, Cello and Piano. The Artistic Director for the Saratoga Chamber players is violinist Jill Levy, currently the Concertmaster of the Albany Symphony Orchestra. Other performers include Eliot Balen, principal Cello with the New York Chamber Ensemble; Aaron Grad, guitarist and winner of the 2006 ASCAP Foundation Morton Gould Young Composer Award; Thomas Meglioranza, baritone and one of the countrys most sought after young singers; Susan Rotholz, principal flutist of the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra and the New England Bach Festival; Alan R. Kay, who serves as principal clarinetist with the American Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of St. Lukes and at the American Ballet Theater and Diane Walsh , pianist and winner of the top prizes at the Munich International piano competition and the Salzburg International Mozart competition.
