News from the Town of Johnsburg Library

NORTH CREEK The Town of Johnsburg Library would like to encourage you to stop in and look at some of our new books. We currently have Bridge of Sighs by Richard Russo, Playing for Pizza by John Grisham, and The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold in the fiction category. The Nine by Jeffrey Toobin is a riveting non-fiction book. In the new DVD category, we have Michael Moore's Sicko and A Mighty Heart. We are excited to announce a polymer clay Christmas ornament workshop for children 5 and older, presented by Helene Goodman. The class, sponsored by the Library Friends, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 10:30-12:30 in the library. Please call the library to register. Gloria Waldron Hukle will be discussing and signing her newest mystery romance, The Diary of a Northern Moon, on Wednesday, December 12, at 6:30 PM in the Town of Johnsburg Library. The evening should be interesting as Gloria will discusses the journey of the Waldron family from their 1600's house on the corner of Broadway and Wall Street New Amsterdam to Albany, Schaghticoke and North Creek. She is a native of New York State, an 11th generation Waldron, and a direct descendent of Peter Stuyvesant's sheriff, Resolved Waldron of New Amsterdam.
