Mountainside to rely on speed, quickness

SCHROON LAKE The Mountainside Christian Academy boys basketball team will rely on speed and quickness this season. MCA doesnt have a player taller than 5-feet-11 on its roster as it tries to improve on last seasons 3-16 record. Mountainside will also have to replace departed Nathan Hermann and John Fullam. Hermann paced the club in scoring with 17.6 points a game and rebounding with 9.1 a contest a year ago. Fullam led Mountainside in assists with 3.2 a game and steals with 4.6 on contest. Lining up a guard this season will be Shin Ogoni, Dan Fullam, Joe Wilson and John Andruynk. At forward Mountainside will play John Savage, Kevin Fortier, Uriah Harvey, Jake Joseph and Caleb Bauer. Vertically-challenged MCA will play without a center this winter. Coaching the team is Paul Mieras.
