Christmas in Bolton
This weekend, December 1 and 2, Bolton will be bustling with Christmas activity. A wonderful weekend to stroll, shop and dine through town. The Town Hall will be filled both days from 11 to 4 with original art works from local artists. Shops will be open for the weekend with specials and a wide variety of Christmas gifts. They will serve holiday refreshments and will provide entertainment. On Saturday, the Methodist church will hold their annual bazaar, complete with a luncheon and in the evening Mark Perry will be in concert at the Blessed Sacrament Church on Goodman Avenue at 7 p.m. Free-will donations will be accepted to benefit Tori Persons and Christine Perry funds. The Chamber Office will be the center of Sundays activities from 2 to 4 p.m. with Santa and hay rides. Faces by Ferdinand will be at the library to paint childrens faces along with Chips Kid Stuff from 1 to 3 p.m. Hot dogs, cocoa and hot cider will be available in the park and the big tree will be lit about 4:00 p.m. A carol sing will be held at the tree and DJ Andy Pratt will be on hand to keep the music moving. Teens between ages 13 17 can enjoy a special session at the Rec Center on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Bobby Dick and the Sundowners will entertain at Fredericks from 5 to 9. The Annual Holiday Bazaar of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church at 19 Stewart Ave., will be held on Saturday, December 1. Open from 10 am to 3 pm, a soup and sandwich lunch is served from 11 am to 2 pm. In addition to the ever popular Cookie Walk and Soup and Sandwich lunch, shoppers will be able to select from Christmas decorations, handcrafted items, and gifts. The Annual Holiday Family Night and book fair starts Wednesday December 5 at 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. This years theme is: Book Blizzard - Chill Out with A Good Book. There will be many activities and the PTO looks forward to seeing everyone there. Cub Scout News

Congratulations are extended to Harry Caldwell, Sam Gabriels, Erika LaPlante, Domenick Pfau, Erin Rafferty, and Jake Russell, all members of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, December 8, signifying their mature commitment to their faith. Parishioners will celebrate the upcoming rite with a special Blessing Ceremony at the 10:45 Mass on Sunday, December 2. December marks the beginning of Session 2 of Faith Formation classes. Grades 1-4 meet Sundays at 9:40 a.m., and Grades 5-8 meet Mondays at 5 p.m. Recreation Center
The Bolton Rec Center, in the lower level of the Town Hall, is open to youth Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Fridays from 2:30 to 8:00 p.m.; and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Sunday through Tuesday.
