An old fashioned Christmas party and gift exchange will be on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 5:30 p.m. for the members and friends of the John Thurman Historical Society. They will have a pot luck covered dish dinner along with the annual business meeting. Correction

The YMCA is hosting a free family fun night on Friday, Dec. 7 from 7-9 p.m. All area families are invited for an evening of fun, swimming, sports, crafts and more. The Sugar Loaf Mountain Seniors had 33 members enjoy a turkey dinner at the club on Nov. 14 at the town hall. Thanks to Cal Engle for cooking the big bird!
