Leahy greets Killington LeadAmerica participant

On July 31, on Capitol Hill, U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) met with Melissa White of Killington, who was in Washington participating in the LeadAmerica program. White spoke with Vermont's senior senator about her visit to Washington, and asked questions about the Senator's role in Congress. Students participating in the LeadAmerica program take part in conferences designed to develop their leadership values, attitudes and skills.

Leahy hosts dozens of Vermont students from across the state each year.

For students unable to visit Washington, Leahy, widely recognized as the 'cyber Senator,' also conducts online chats from his Washington, DC office. For information about visiting the Capitol, and to schedule an online chat with Leahy, contact his office at 1-800-642-3193.
