Sports clinic to open

TICONDEROGA Drs J. David Bannon and Jeffrey C. Gundel of Queensburys Bannon and Gundel Orthopedics and Sports Medicine are preparing to bring their services to Ticonderoga.

Physician Assistant David J. Paska will practice with them.

Bannon and Gundel have fellowships in sports medicine and specialize in sports injuries, total knee replacements, fracture care and arthroscopy.

Bannon had practiced in Ticonderoga previously and fell in love with the area. Since then, Bannon and his wife, Connie Bannon, have considered extending their services to Ticonderoga.

Now we are renewing our relationship with the community, Mrs. Bannon said.

For approximately three weeks, DC Construction has been preparing the new office on Montcalm Street for the team. Bannon explained that the business location coincides with Ticonderogas Main Street project.

Bannon plans to rent the second level of the building as an apartment and the lower level of the building as office space.

We hope to be open this fall, Bannon said. We wanted to come back to the community and invest in the community.

The doctors also give seminars on knee replacement and hope to offer that service in Ticonderoga.

We want to offer good orthopedic care, Bannon said.
