Indian Lake Central School to Celebrate its 6th Annual First Day Celebration

INDIAN LAKE Mark this date and time on your calendar: Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 - 7:50 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. That's the date of the ILCS 6th Annual First Day Celebration.

We welcome you to join us at 7:50 a.m. on the front sidewalk this year as we all greet the students through the front doors of the school for their first day of the new school year, said Superintendent Dave Snide.

Then stay and celebrate with us for the 6th Annual First Day Celebration at Indian Lake Central School. Plan to see old friends, meet new ones, reconnect or be introduced to faculty and staff and, above all, enjoy a fun-filled day together!

Back by popular demand the school will again start off this school year with a First Day full of fun!! Be ready to enjoy old-fashioned carnival games, team challenges, sports and everyone's favorite...SQUARE DANCING!

First Day is a time for anyone and everyone to join in the fun: capture the flag, win carnival prizes, "dunk" an ILCS staff member, swing your partner...or take a break and watch your neighbor, child or grandchild do the same.

There will also be a time to relax and enjoy a BBQ Picnic Lunch under the tent. Meet and greet the new faculty and staff members, talk about the upcoming year or just chat about what you did this past summer.

So come on, Snide said. Wear your most comfortable "play clothes". If you've got it: dig out your own ILCS attire. Bring your camera, sunscreen, and fun spirit and be ready to join in!

Any questions please contact Dave Snide at 648-5024.
