To the Editor:
So, Mr. Mc Hugh has been to Baghdad eight times. He sees "high morale" because troops are doing "what they are trained to do." The "surge is working" he reports.
Perhaps it would be useful for the Congressman to meet his own constituents and personally deliver the news face to face that he intends to keep voting for the slaughter that about 70% of us oppose.
We deserve regular meet ups with our Congressman to discuss our concerns (much more than just this war) and let him know what we expect of him. Vermont Reps have always done this. Congresswoman Gillibrand to our south holds regular town meetings with her constituents. Our Congressman can't find time for us or is afraid (ashamed?) to face us. Either way, it is time for every one here to pressure John McHugh to answer to us. Set up meetings around the district where he can't avoid what we have to say.
