Chamber pushes DOT to make Route 28 corridor safer

The chamber is urging businesses and concerned citizens in the region to join in the effort by contacting the state and urging action.

We are concerned both about the accidents that have already happened at these two intersections and the number of near accidents that are precursors to more serious ones, Milner wrote in is letter to DOT official Mark Kennedy. Ongoing development activities in the area will increase the traffic loads and levels if risk.

The chambers effort is part of a renewed effort on the part of the chamber to be an active, vital and involved member of the Johnsburg region community, Milner said.
