Sustainable forestry course

Learn sustainable forestry concepts at a three-day short course on positive impact foresty, held at the NorthWoods Stewardship Center in East Charlton, Vt., Friday, Aug. 24, through Sunday, Aug. 26. The course combines advance readings, lectures, discussion, and field exercises.

Registered participants receive Positive Impact Forestry: A sustainable Approach to Managing Forests as well as a course syllabus and a list of assigned readings to be read before the course takes place. Registration fees are variable and scholarships are available; registration is limited to the first 20 registrants, with discounts for families of two. The registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 17.
