Flintstones promote dental health

TICONDEROGA The Inter-Lakes Health float won third prize in the July 4th parade in Ticonderoga.

The float had a dental health theme, delivered by the Flintstones, in keeping with the cartoon character theme of the Best Fourth in the North parade.

Rod Kenyon, ILHs respiratory therapist, wore the Barney Rubble costume; Sandy Blaise, a nurse, was Betty Rubble; Lia Young from the lab was Wilma Flinstone; and Zach Blanchette was Fred.

Dan Blanchette, an Inter-Lakes Health employee, coordinated the float-making project. He said he is grateful for all of the help he received. He acknowledged Linda and Tim Huestis, who let Inter-Lakes Health use their hay wagon for the float; Debbie Huntington, who provided the costumes; Roderic Kenyon, Lia Young, Sandy Sprague, Kim Blanchette, Zach Blanchette, Kishia Patenaude and Ray Hurlburt, all members of the ILH float committee; board members Mary Laundree and Joyce Barker; and others whose help made the float possible Dave Morin, Bill Rozell, Mark Barber, Val Brace, Dave Schryer, Darlene Charbeneau, Fallon Woods, Jessica Pelerin, Debbie Gilleo, Kevin Haughney, Roberta Cooper, Mary Glazer and Dr. Mark Moss.
