News From the Town of Johnsburg Library

JOHNSBURG The Town of Johnsburg Library will welcome Rosemary Miner, as she reviews her murder/mystery, Once Upon A Time To Die For, on Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m. On May 19, the Fiber Arts Series at the Johnsburg Library will continue with a Knotted Basket Workshop with Kristen Loffler. During the class she will demonstrate the art of knotting yarns and how to weave them together to create a basket. Materials will be provided. Call 251-4343 to register or for more information. This program is funded in part through LARAC. The Town of Johnsburg Library recently received a check for $2,500 through the Patron Grant Program, sponsored by state Sen. Betty Little. The funds will be used to increase our collections, update technical on-line capabilities, or introduce new programming. We also received 70 children's books from the Libri Foundation and the Friends of the Library. Just a reminder, there is Preschool Story hour and Crafts every Friday at 10 a.m. In the library.
