The Gailer School Board in Middlebury has opened a search for a new educational leader for the 2007-08 academic year, to provide long-term leadership to the school in the area of academics and to interface with the Addison County community. We are looking for an educational leader who will continue to implement Gailers unique educational vision while guiding the school into the future according to school spokeswoman Chris Plunkett. At the heart of this vision is insightful world citizenship and the interdisciplinary Da Vinci Curriculum, she said. Responsibilities of the schools educational leader include the welfare of students and faculty, admissions, program and curriculum design, public relations, and development. The Gailer School returned to Middlebury last fall and recently announced that they have entered into a purchase and sale agreement with the Middlebury Congregational Church to acquire the Charter House as its permanent home.
