First, permit us to give you a brief overview of our companies. Denton Publications was founded in Elizabethtown, New York in 1948 by William Denton. Working out of his garage, with a small print shop and family members as his staff, Mr. Denton began the Valley News. Today, from that humble beginning, the company has grown to employ a staff of over 60 dedicated professionals, an 18,000 square foot Elizabethtown printing facility, and branch offices housing our publishing units in Plattsburgh and Ticonderoga producing eight targeted publications in Eastern New York State. New Market Press, Inc was created in 1995 and is our Vermont publishing branch, with four targeted publications in Western Vermont. Each publication is also fully available on the world wide Denpubs web site.

Despite the steady growth of our companies we still operate under some very simple guidelines; quality work, personalized customer service and fair pricing. Unlike other areas of the country, this region is unique in its demographic make-up and the many outside influences that affect the economic patterns. Not only is the region a strong location for tourist activity from all over the world, but the retail shopping market accounts for a consistent flow of trade from Canada, as well as back and forth across Lake Champlain between Vermont and New York. Each of our publications have been ìcustomizedî to best fit each market zone. Our circulation records are audited annually by Circulation Verification Council. Our receivership survey complied in September of 2006, by CVC, shows 99.1% of the homes receive a Denton/New Market Publication! No other media... print or electronic... can make that claim. In addition to high receivership, regular readership of our publications also ranks high with 80% of the homes confirming they regularly read the paper and make purchases from the information found in them

The publications are deeply rooted in their communities and our staff returns that commitment with their active participation in charitable community events. Our employee contribution to the Untied Way of Clinton and Essex Counties was ranked 12th among the top 20 Employee Campaigns. In addition to the publications, we are also one of the region's largest commercial web printer. Our printing plant is capable of printing everything imaginable in a cold set printing environment. The production department is anchored by a highly skilled staff with 13 Goss Printing Units, 2 Goss Folders, an Agfa Computer-to-Plate Imaging Systems, a Harris book collating/binding system, Rena Inkjet, Cheshire Labeling and a Muller Martini Inserting Machine. We offer graphic design, sheet-fed printing, mailing and delivery services to meet the needs of our customers. In unison with USPS we have initiated an Alternative Mailing Agreement to expedite our regular weekly mailings. We can provide CASS Certified CDS Labels within our region and offer a CAPS accounts for simplified postal payments.
