Power Of Masks

Power of Masks exhibition will be divided into the following parts on a continuum from sacred to secular:
Transformation –Masks that embody deities or spirits and transform the wearer into that being. This type mask has a sacred role.
Identification –Masks that allow the wearer to become another being without actually being transformed into the being.
Drama- Masks used to tell an epic story or dramatize a legend.
Disguise – Masks with the function of hiding an identy
