Intermediate Bluegrass Banjo with Mac Petrequin. #591-1012.

Designed for players who have been at the banjo for a while, this class will focus on improvising through common chord progressions found in Bluegrass songs. Beginning with timing and the importance of playing with a metronome, we'll study major chord positions, and get into Dominant 7ths, passing tones and chords that are formed from a major scale. We'll look at alternative tunings, and also explore playing back-up behind the singer or another lead instrument. And we will steal shamelessly from each other. Bring your banjo, picks, licks, and capo.

Tuition $50. Member Tuition $45.
