Native American Courting Flute Construction and Lore with Eric Marczak. #662-0510. 2 afternoons.

Native American craft is a hallmark of tradition in the Adirondacks. Even the word “Adirondack” is from the Mohawk language. In this class you will construct a Native American courting flute from a selected blank. Flutes will be nicely finished with leather ties and wax. As you work, listen to stories and flute lore. A beginner's playing lesson will also be included. This class is great for all levels and for those who enjoy music, woodcarving, and history! Bring a carving or whittling knife to this class.

Tuition $95. Member Tuition $85. Materials Fee $45.
