TICONDEROGA — Inter-Lakes Health will host the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, community leaders and the Ticonderoga community for an After Business Mixer Thursday, March 20, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Sponsors providing door prizes for the event will be Adirondack Employment Opportunities, Burgoyne Grill, Dunkin Donuts of Ticonderoga and the Wagon Wheel Restaurant.
“We invite Ticonderoga Area Chamber members, businesses, community leaders and the Ticonderoga area community as a whole to attend the event on March 20 at Inter-Lakes Health,” Matthew Courtright, chamber executive director, said. “It will be an opportunity to discuss the future of Inter-Lakes Health, hear from the leadership at Inter-Lakes Health and their partners. This event will be a networking opportunity, but will be much more than your typical mixer. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this event.”
Inter-Lakes Health recently announced it is eliminating 33 jobs and its CEO, Chip Holmes, is leaving.
Current health care trends are encouraging system oriented health services, Courtright said. Inter-Lakes being affiliated with Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt., since 2011 is well positioned to become a leader in this next generation of care, he said.
“Now is the time for Inter-Lakes to determine its future,” Holmes said. “We are honored to have such supportive partners helping to shape the future of health services in Ticonderoga. Together I am confident we will continue to provide the highest quality care with a financially sustainable model.”
The event will begin in the Crowne Terrace Dining Room. People are asked to enter near the gift shop/cafeteria.
“The menu for the event will include a variety of stations as you enjoy an evening in the Crowne Terrace Dining Room. We have planned an array of appetizers, desserts and beverages,” Scott Priest, Inter-Lakes culinary service team director, said.
The event menu will include three food stations consisting of crudité and dip, fresh fruit, bruschetta, mini sweet and sour meatballs, mini crab bites with a remoulade sauce, assorted cookies and cupcakes, as well as assorted hot and cold beverages.
At 6 p.m. Courtright will introduce Holmes, who will provide a welcome address and introduce the Inter-Lakes Health Partners from Community Providers Inc. (CPI) the parent company of CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh and Elizabethtown Community Hospital in Elizabethtown and Fletcher Allen Partners (FAP) the parent company to CPI and other facilities such as Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington who together will share important information on the future of Inter-Lakes Health.
“The chamber’s After Business Mixers provide a networking forum for area business people in addition to showcasing the site of the host, as well as promoting the door prize sponsors,” Courtright said. “Chamber members and area business people are encouraged to take advantage of this and all networking opportunities.”
