Blugrass Concert - Modern Grass Quintet

On Saturday, March 8 at 7:30, the Grange Hall in Whallonsburg, New York, welcomes The Modern Grass Quintet for a night of original, traditional and very hot bluegrass. This Vermont-based band is a combination of some of the best regional players on the scene, and includes former and current members of the Bluegrass Gospel Project, PossumHaw and Breakaway. With backgrounds in jazz, swing and folk, in addition to bluegrass music, MGQ delivers a high-energy, risk-taking, contemporary and accessible sound that gets you jumpin’.

The Modern Grass Quintet includes Adam Buchwald on banjo, Todd Sager on fiddle and dobro, Andy Greene on guitar, Stephen Waud on mandolin, and Kirk Lord on bass.
