It is said that a true outdoorsman only needs an axe and a compass and he could survive in the wilderness. Now here is your opportunity to make your own axe! In this class you will learn the traditional tools and steps used to construct a small camp or “backpacker’s” axe. Go home with a finished axe head ready to be hafted and used. These axes are a versatile tool for the woodshed or the trail.
Fee = $170 + $40 for materials.
NOTE: Hard shoes and long pants are required for student safety.
