Become more familiar with plants from upstate New York as you use them to create one-of-a-kind fabric samples. Using sheets of Foamy as a palette for textile paints, you will print natural scenes and motifs on fabrics. This is a fun way to create images for your quilts from natural materials like fern leaves, blossoms, grasses, and commercial products that reflect our natural world. You will go home with individualized printed fabrics to incorporate in your quilts. While your textiles dry, a technique for making beads for textile embellishment will also be taught.
Fee = $125 + $15 for materials.
NOTE: The list of required materials and equipment is available at AFS, call (518) 696-2400 or stop by for a copy.
