This shawl is a wonderful light-weight cover up for spring and summer. The beaded spine adds just a hint of light-catching shimmer. This class is designed for those who know how to knit and purl, but haven’t tried any lace. The simple eyelet lace is easy to learn and doesn’t require charts or a lot of counting. You will also learn the basics of shaping a triangular shawl to cling to your shoulders. Beads will be included along the spine as you go. Students should bring a US#9 circular needle, 24-32 inches in length. While this class is open to all skill levels, knitters must be able to cast on, bind off, work simple increases/decreases, yarn overs, and follow written instructions. They must also know garter, stockinette, and basic ribbing stitches.
Fee = $45 + $25 for materials.
