Juried Art Show at Adirondack Artists Guild

SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Artists Guild will hold its fifteenth annual art competition from March 15 through April 17. The competition is open to all artists and accepts all media. Artists interested in entering may pick up a prospectus at the gallery at 52 Main St in Saranac Lake or may download one from the Guild's website, www.adirondackartistsguild.
Two dimensional work must not exceed 34 inches in any direction. Three dimensional work must be of a reasonable size for a small gallery. Work done in a class or under supervision may not be submitted.
Work should be dropped off at the gallery on March 6, 7, 8 or 9 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Notification of the juror's decision will be mailed or emailed by March 13.
An opening reception will be held at the gallery on Friday, March 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. Prizes will be awarded at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served.
This year's juror will be Bill Crosby, an artrist who exhibits both paintings and photography. He received his MFA in painting from the University of Michigan. Retired from a 35-year career as a professor at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, Bill continues to show his work on a national, regional and local level.
