Whirligigs are whimsical expressions of American folk art that first appeared in this country nearly 200 years ago. Traditional designs depict common characters and activities of early American rural life, from farmers milking cows to lumbermen chopping wood. Come make an old-fashioned, wind-driven whirligig of an old man sawing firewood. Approximately 20 inches long by 15 inches high, you will use various materials and finishes to fashion your very own piece of folk art! No previous experience necessary.
Fee = $85 + $20 for materials.
