will be held at The Paul Smith's College VIC April 5 through 7, to teach participants how to create a floral quilt by watercolor techniques. The instructor is Karen LiVecchi. Workshop participants will learn a simple method of blending and contrast to put together a design using just three coordinating fabrics. Participants will learn to sew perfect blocks quickly and accurately using a fusible foundation. Tips on adding borders with accuracy will also be covered. Workshop participants will create two quilt tops (finished size: approximately 27” x 27”): a floral wreath and their own creation.
Students may bring their own fabric (recommended) or choose from quilt-top kits available for $15. The wreath pattern and fusible foundation are included in the class. Students will need batting (31” x 31”) and backing (1 yard) to finish each quilt. Materials list will be provided.
