Tom Porter, director of the Program in Religion and Conflict Transformation at Boston University School of Theology, will deliver the 2013 Karl Cron Community Lecture on Thursday, April 4, at 7:30p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room at the Angell College Center at Plattsburgh State.
Author of The Spirit and Art of Conflict Resolution, he will speak on the topic “Restorative Justice” as a response to mass incarceration, retributive justice, and retributive theology. The lecture is free and open to the public.
The annual Karl Cron Community Lectures are sponsored by the Plattsburgh Protestant Campus Ministry and its supporting congregations and judicatories and named for the ministry founder.
