Education Reform band North Country Debut at ROTA Gallery in Plattsburgh

Plattsburgh, New York – September 1, 2012 – Education Reform, a rock band from Queens, New York, is making their North Country debut at ROTA Gallery on September 1, to celebrate the release of their EP, The Push Back is Missing. Formed by keyboardist and vocalist, Aaron Kruziki, original songs from the new EP reflect the band’s mission to utilize music as an agent for opening public dialogue and creating social change. Led by Kruziki, band members include Travis Reuter on guitar, Zach Lane on bass, and Jon Wert on drums. Education Reform’s distinctive sound, highlighted by off-kilter, dream-like melodies and Kruziki’s crooning vocals, can be described as a mix between a 1970s space opera, your favorite David Bowie record, and that mysterious leather trunk you found in your grandfather’s musty basement. Quirky, catchy tracks like “Collective Bargaining” and “Listen to The Multiplication” are numbers to put on your listening radar. The band’s premiere EP was recorded and produced by Ian Hersey, guitarist of rising indie rock band, Rubblebucket. Also adding strength to the project is local artist Kelly Chilton, who’s provoking series of collectable poster designs for Education Reform are undeniably charming for fans of all ages.
