LAKE GEORGE — The Lake George Park Commission will be holding a special meeting Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fort William Henry Conference Center, focusing on the status of the local Aquatic Invasive Species planning effort.
A presentation will be made to the Commissioners regarding a consultant’s recommendation of a mandatory boat inspection program for Lake George related to invasive species.
Details will be discussed related to how such a program could work, the costs, logistics, and funding options. This will be a workshop meeting for the purposes of informing the Commissioners about this program, and the public is invited.
The agency’s aquatic invasive species committee met Nov. 2 in Bolton Landing, and discussed the program’s logistics, anticipated costs, as well as potential funding and station locations.
