Spring and India Carson will be having an art show at The Gallery at Hague Creek beginning Friday, June 29th- Saturday, July 7th. They are the grandaughters of the renown Adirondack artist, Ruth Rumney. Spring and India will be exhibiting individual pieces, as well as, a few collaborative works.
Both grandaughters use found objects and artifacts, bringing the past together with more present day materials, creating windows into their subconscious minds and thought processes. Color and texture are integral components in expressing what they see and feel about the world around them. Drawing deep inspiration from nature and the dream realm; offering a sense of the mystical within each piece.
They believe that people from all walks of life should be able to own original artwork and have, therefore, priced their pieces accordingly. This show is a rare opportunity to view non-traditional artwork in the north country, showcasing multi-dimensional pieces with an expressive, yet historical/ architectural flavor.
There will be a wine and cheese opening reception with an opportunity to meet the artists on Friday, June 29th from 5-8p.m.. The Gallery will be open June 30th- July 8th from 11:30a.m.-5:00p.m., as well as, by appointment. To schedule an appointment call (518)-615-6792.
