Radical Robotics Camp

PLATTSBURGH —The Champlain Valley Transportation Museum will hold the Summer 2012 Radical Robotics Camp July 23 through August 3.
The camp will be an opportunity for the children of the Champlain Valley to learn about and build robots. During the camp children will be able to discover how math, science and technology skills learned in school can be used outside of the classroom.
There will be two sessions with a third opening if necessary. Each camp will take place Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until noon. The first session will be held from July 23 through July 27, and the second session taking place from July 30 through August 3.
The Radical Robotics Summer Camp will give children a chance to become educated on robots and work in teams to build a robot using Lego NXT Technology. The camp will open to children ages 9 to 14 years old with camps in the future for younger ages.
Registration is $50 per child. An informational meeting will be held on July 11 at 6 p.m. at the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum, located at 12 Museum Way in Plattsburgh.
